Recently Dimma, our rabbit, gave birth to six little baby rabbits. How cute they are! Dimma is a Lop-rabbit, with long ears falling vertically from her head – as all Lop eared rabbits. She is certainly cute, just as her babies.
The last few days we´ve been working on improving the front of our service building by laying out a new patio.
Believe it or not, this one opened the door to the farmhouse restaurant (or maybe she sneaked in or even someone let her in!) This is Flauta, a young goat born this spring. Her sister Fiðla is a little more timid and stays outside the house, watching the glory from the outside!
This morning (20th of June) the last two lambs this spring were born. That means a total number of 987 lambs here at Bjarteyjarsandur this year. Most of our sheep are already out in the wild, free range and hopefully happy.
